This liquid additive can be added to lacquer to reduce the gloss. One gallon of gloss requires 16 ounces of flattener to reduce it to a flat sheen. 8 ounces for a satin sheen.

An additive used to assist in the prevention of fisheyes or cratering of lacquers due to the presence of silicone contaminants. Packaged in a handy eye dropper package. Just a few drops per quart of lacquer or varnish is all it takes.
